Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

FAQ

Is my car covered by insurance?

Rest assured, your vehicle is covered by insurance. BLG adheres to Federal Government requirements, ensuring that all carriers associated with us are licensed and insured. We verify each carrier's cargo coverage and licenses for vehicle transport. If you ever want to review a copy of the carrier's insurance, feel free to reach out to us or directly to the carrier.

Your move includes NADA replacement value coverage with zero deductible, offering protection within the driver's control or caused by our equipment. While certain force majeure events and road hazards are not covered, our commitment to insurance coverage prioritizes the safety of your vehicle.

How long does it take?

Once you place your order, we assign your vehicle(s) to a carrier. Usually carrier's accept freight up to two weeks before the first available load date. Typical coast to coast transport is 7-12 days and the coast to middle America is 3-6. We provide estimated transit times customized to your specific move and your needs.

Must I be available for pick up and/or delivery?

Your physical presence is not mandatory for vehicle transport. You can designate a third party to release or accept the vehicle on your behalf. It's important to have someone present for the condition report at pick-up and to inspect and sign the bill of lading upon delivery. If needed, we may arrange pick-up and/or delivery at your workplace, depending on available space. In certain events, we can load or unload a vehicle with no one available to release or recieve. Please ask us about this if you have further questions.

Will my car be delivered to my front door?

While our goal is to pick up and deliver to your door, certain factors like local laws, low-hanging trees, or restrictions in residential neighborhoods may necessitate meeting at a nearby safe area, such as a school or business parking lot.

What can I leave in my car?

Normal car items like documents, music, and emergency kits are permissible. Car seats can stay if properly secured. However, car carriers are not licensed for household goods, so it's advisable to clear out the car to prepare it for transport. If you have a need to transport personal items, please reach out to us directly.

How much gas should my car have?

We ask that you have a 1/4 tank of gas for transport. This helps keep the carrier's overall weight down, which will be inspected during transport at Department of Transportation scales.

If you have an electric vehicle, please ensure the battery is fully charged at the time of loading.
